Digital X-Ray
An x-ray (radiograph) is a non-invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with x-ray requires exposing a body part with a very small dose of ionizing radiation to produce an image of the body. X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging.
Digital X-ray offered at CTI takes radiographs to the next level. No more x-ray films or developing. Images are ready in seconds and available for review.
No special preparation is generally needed. You may be asked to remove some or all of your clothes, depending on the body part imaged, and provided a gown if needed. Removable jewelry should also be taken off if it is in the part of the body being imaged.
Women should always inform their physician or x-ray technologist if there is a possibility that they may be pregnant.
